Thought of the Day Quoted from daily reflection's of Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji Maharaj
Human beings have many types of breathing. Forty-eight types of breath are associated with thoughts, worries, emotions, passion, anger, ego, vanity and hypocrisy. These types of breath make us restless; they do not induce calmness. However, there is one type of breath called udanna, the spiritual breath, which leads to a state of calmness and self realization. This is such a little, feeble breath that it can't even be felt coming out of the nostrils. With this udana breath, restlessness disappears and we are able to enjoy calmness bliss. To reach complete calmness, peace and bliss, we should bring the attention inward and enter the '"cave" of the cranium at the fontanel, which is ten finger-widths above the centre of the eyebrows. This "cave" is the abode of God.
